En el principio era el Verbo, y el Verbo era con Dios, y el Verbo era Dios. 

Nel principio era la Parola, e la Parola era con Dio, e la Parola era Dio.

No princípio era a Palavra, e a Palavra estava com Deus, e a Palavra era Deus.

2The same was in the beginning with God.

Este era en el principio con Dios. 

Essa era nel principio con Dio.

Ele, a Palavra, estava no princípio com Deus.

3  All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Todas las cosas por él fueron hechas; y sin él nada de lo que es hecho, fué hecho. 

4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

En él estaba la vida, y la vida era la luz de los hombres. 

 In lei era la vita; e la vita era la luce degli uomini;

Nele estava a vida e a vida era a luz dos homens;

5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

Y la luz en las tinieblas resplandece; mas las tinieblas no la comprendieron. 

 e la luce splende nelle tenebre, e le tenebre non l’hanno ricevuta.

e a luz resplandece nas trevas, mas as trevas não a venceram.

6There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

Fué un hombre enviado de Dios, el cual se llamaba Juan. 

Vi fu un uomo mandato da Dio, il cui nome era Giovanni.

Houve um homem enviado de Deus, cujo nome era João (zhoo-oh)

7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

Este vino por testimonio, para que diese testimonio de la luz, para que todos creyesen por él. 

 Egli venne come testimone per render testimonianza alla luce, affinché tutti credessero per mezzo di lui.

Ele veio como testemunha para que testificasse a respeito da luz, a fim de todos virem a crer por intermédio dele.

8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

No era él la luz, sino para que diese testimonio de la luz. 

 Egli stesso non era la luce, ma venne per render testimonianza alla luce.

João não era a luz, mas foi enviado para testemunhar da luz. 

9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

Aquel era la luz verdadera, que alumbra á todo hombre que viene á este mundo. 

La vera luce che illumina ogni uomo, era per venire nel mondo.

A Palavra é a luz verdadeira que, vinda ao mundo, ilumina a toda a humanidade.

10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

En el mundo estaba, y el mundo fué hecho por él; y el mundo no le conoció. 

A lo suyo vino, y los suyos no le recibieron. 

12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Mas á todos los que le recibieron, dióles potestad de ser hechos hijos de Dios, á los que creen en su nombre: 

 ma a tutti quelli che l’hanno ricevuto egli ha dato il diritto di diventar figliuoli di Dio; a quelli, cioè, che credono nel suo nome;

13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Los cuales no son engendrados de sangre, ni de voluntad de carne, ni de voluntad de varón, mas de Dios. 

 i quali non son nati da sangue, né da volontà di carne, né da volontà d’uomo, ma son nati da Dio.

14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Y aquel Verbo fué hecho carne, y habitó entre nosotros (y vimos su gloria, gloria como del unigénito del Padre), lleno de gracia y de verdad. 

 E la Parola è stata fatta carne ed ha abitato per un tempo fra noi, piena di grazia e di verità; e noi abbiam contemplata la sua gloria, gloria come quella dell’Unigenito venuto da presso al Padre.

15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.

16And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

Porque de su plenitud tomamos todos, y gracia por gracia. 

 Infatti, è della sua pienezza che noi tutti abbiamo ricevuto, e grazia sopra grazia.

17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Porque la ley por Moisés fué dada: mas la gracia y la verdad por Jesucristo fué hecha. 

 Poiché la legge è stata data per mezzo di Mosè; la grazia e la verità son venute per mezzo di Gesù Cristo.

18No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

A Dios nadie le vió jamás: el unigénito Hijo, que está en el seno del Padre, él le declaró. 

 Nessuno ha mai veduto Iddio; l’unigenito Figliuolo, che è nel seno del Padre, è quel che l’ha fatto conoscere.

19And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?

Y éste es el testimonio de Juan, cuando los Judíos enviaron de Jerusalem sacerdotes y Levitas, que le preguntasen: ¿Tú, quién eres? 

20And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ.

21And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.

Y le preguntaron: ¿Qué pues? ¿Eres tú Elías? Dijo: No soy. ¿Eres tú el profeta? Y respondió: No. 

 Ed essi gli domandarono: Che dunque? Sei Elia? Ed egli rispose: Non lo sono. Sei tu il profeta? Ed egli rispose: No.

22 Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?

Dijéronle: ¿Pues quién eres? para que demos respuesta á los que nos enviaron. ¿Qué dices de ti mismo? 

 Essi dunque gli dissero: Chi sei? affinché diamo una risposta a coloro che ci hanno mandato. Che dici tu di te stesso?

23 He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.

Dijo: Yo soy la voz del que clama en el desierto: Enderezad el camino del Señor, como dijo Isaías profeta. 

Egli disse: Io son la voce d’uno che grida nel deserto: Addirizzate la via del Signore, come ha detto il profeta Isaia.

24And they which were sent were of the Pharisees.

25And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be not that Christ, nor Elias, neither that prophet?

Y preguntáronle, y dijéronle: ¿Por qué pues bautizas, si tú no eres el Cristo, ni Elías, ni el profeta? 

 e gli domandarono: Perché dunque battezzi se tu non sei il Cristo, né Elia, né il profeta?

26John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not;

27  He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe’s latchet I am not worthy to unloose.

Este es el que ha de venir tras mí, el cual es antes de mí: del cual yo no soy digno de desatar la correa del zapato. 

colui che viene dietro a me, al quale io non son degno di sciogliere il legaccio de’ calzari.

28These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing.

Estas cosas acontecieron eeron  en Betábara, de la otra parte del Jordán, donde Juan bautizaba. 

Queste cose avvennero in Betania al di là del Giordano, dove Giovanni stava battezzando.

29The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

30  This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me.

Este es del que dije: Tras mí viene un varón, el cual es antes de mí: porque era primero que yo. 

 Questi è colui del quale dicevo: Dietro a me viene un uomo che mi ha preceduto, perché egli era prima di me.

Y yo no le conocía; más para que fuese manifestado á Israel, por eso vine yo bautizando con agua. 

 E io non lo conoscevo; ma appunto perché, preceisely because,  egli sia manifestato ad Israele, son io venuto a battezzar con acqua.

32And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.

Y Juan dió testimonio, diciendo: Vi al Espíritu que descendía del cielo como paloma, y reposó sobre él. 

33And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.

Y yo no le conocía; mas el que me envió á bautizar con agua, aquél me dijo: Sobre quien vieres descender el Espíritu, y que reposa sobre él, éste es el que bautiza con Espíritu Santo.

E io non lo conoscevo; ma Colui che mi ha mandato a battezzare con acqua, mi ha detto: Colui sul quale vedrai lo Spirito scendere e fermarsi, è quel che battezza con lo Spirito Santo.

34And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.

Y yo le vi, y he dado testimonio que éste es el Hijo de Dios. 

E io ho veduto e ho attestato che questi è il Figliuol di Dio.

35Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples;

El siguiente día otra vez estaba Juan, y dos de sus discípulos. 

 Il giorno seguente, Giovanni era di nuovo là con due de’ suoi discepoli;

36And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!

37And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.

38Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou?

39He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.

40 One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother.

Era Andrés, hermano de Simón Pedro, uno de los dos que habían oído de Juan, y le habían seguido. 

42And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.

43 The day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith unto him, Follow me.

44 Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.

45Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.

46And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.

47Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!

48Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.

49Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.

50Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these.

51And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.

Y dícele: De cierto, de cierto os digo: De aquí adelante veréis el cielo abierto, y los ángeles de Dios que suben y descienden sobre el Hijo del hombre.
